Labor on my due date?

The day started with a due date breakfast with Melissa. Feeling great. Then went to Kev's parents house to do some laundry. Feeling great. Came home and felt moist. Could not decide if my water broke or not, so we went to find the mailbox. We did not know which set of mailboxes it was in. Half way to the mailbox contractions started every 2 minutes. I tried to be strong and sit in the tub and labor at home for a while. Well.... that lasted about an hour and a half and I was ready for an epidural. We went to the hospital and I got my epidural pretty immediately. After the epidural, I was not feeling anything! I labored for 8 hours and pushed for an hour and a half. I had the most amazing and supportive labor staff. Being a labor nurse I was the non-compliant patient. I was moving my own monitors, and repositioning myself. They put up with me and made me feel like I was the only one in labor. After I had the baby, I find out that every room was full and that they had to call for extra staff. Katie and Melissa are amazing! I could not have had a better experience!
